Summer’s in full swing, which means it’s time to kick back and take a well-deserved break from work and school. If you plan on traveling this summer and you or a loved one suffers from nocturnal enuresis (bedwetting), you’re probably wondering what you can bring to protect the bed from accidents.
From waterproof mattress covers to mattress underpads, we have plenty of reusable and disposable options for you and your family to choose from. We recommend the waterproof underpads for travel because they’re easy to use and replace. Simply lay the pad on the bed, and then switch it out with a clean one when it gets soiled! There’s no need to lift heavy mattresses or wait hours for laundry to be done.
The four underpads below are perfect for travel and can be used by children, elderly adults, and everyone else in between!
- Washable underpad – This is our best-selling underpad. Washable and lightweight, this waterproof underpad holds up to four cups of fluid, more than an adult bladder can hold. The top layer is soft to the touch, the absorbent layer traps liquids, and the waterproof barrier keeps the mattress dry. The overlay with the 18” tuck-in tails is great for active sleepers.
- HaloShield underpad – This mattress underpad is unique because it eliminates urine odors, while keeping the bed dry. The pad recharges when washed with bleach, so you can use it over and over to keep the bedroom free from embarrassing odors!
- StaPut disposable underpad – If you don’t have time to do laundry, try this disposable underpad. Its large 36” x 70” size provides greater bed coverage and a larger absorbent area than cheap alternatives. StaPut underpads are available in flat (tapes onto the bed) and tuck-in styles.
- Prevail disposable underpad – Here’s another disposable option that’s easy to clean up. Prevail underpads feature a soft, yet durable cloth-like top sheet with a flat adhesive seal around the edges. The Fluff Large absorbs up to 48 oz., while the Super Absorbent holds up to 76 oz. of fluid.
Waterproof underpads are cost effective and efficient. They can also be used to protect chairs, sofas, car seats, as well as beds. Some people even use underpads as pet pads. The options are endless, so remember to pack a few in your luggage!
