This protector is very comfortable since it is made from high quality Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified organic cotton, used on the top and bottom. This cotton is unbleached, so it is not a bright white like our other mattress protectors, but rather a creamy beige. The cotton top is so comfortable you can easily sleep directly on the mattress cover, or use a fitted sheet overtop. The waterproof layer is a proprietary product called DrySleep&trade; which contains no latex, Phthalates, vinyl or PVC and is Greenguard&reg; Indoor Air Quality Certified, Greenguard&reg; Children & Schools Certified and Greenguard&reg; Select Certified for Home and Healthcare. This means they are tested by a third party for low chemical emissions, so you know you are getting the safest protector possible. The most revolutionary part of the DrySleep&trade; technology is its breathability, allowing air to pass through while keeping dust, water, and allergens out without the use of harsh chemicals. This keeps you cool and comfortable all night long. The waterproof barrier is sandwiched between two layers of cotton, helping to keep the mattress pad comfortable and keeping it from slipping on the mattress.
