Bed bug and dust mite infestations can cause serious health problems. Rather than fighting them, why not stop them before they start! This product is great because it keeps dust mites and bed bugs out, so you can sleep soundly knowing you won't get an infestation. However, if you are one of the unlucky ones who already has dust mites or even worse, bed bugs, don't despair, this product can save your mattress. Solving a bed bug problem can be very tricky and just throwing away your mattress won't necessarily solve it. Bed bugs and their eggs can live up to 1 year, so if you have any eggs left in your bedframe, carpet or drapes, you can see a resurgence of bed bugs even after you throw your mattress out. Rather than spending hundreds on a new mattress, this cover can encase bed bugs with a special BugLock® seal, which seals in the bugs you already have and prevents new ones from joining. This is the easiest and best way to control a bed bug infestation. Once fully zipped, the encasement&apsos;s zipper attaches to a zipper hook to keep it locked in place so you don't have to worry about it coming undone and opening slowly.

The BugLock® seal is certified by Entomology Laboratories as bed bug bite, entry, and escape proof. At the same time, the AllerZip® Bed Bug Encasement shields your mattress from unwanted moisture and allergens to give you a more healthy sleeping area. This shield is made possible by the Miracle Membrane®, a waterproof yet breathable barrier that allows your body's heat to pass through, making it more comfortable to sleep on than other vinyl based encasements.

These bed encasements comes in 4 sizes - 9, 12, 15, and 18 inches, all fitting your Twin sized mattress. If your mattress is not exactly one of these depths, select the deeper encasement to ensure that it will fit your mattress. When in doubt, order a size larger than you think. If the encasement turns out to be a little loose, simply tuck the excess underneath the mattress.

Comments:

For the treatment of bed bugs, once this encasement is in place, it is not recommended that you remove it for at least 1 year due to the risk of bed bugs escaping. Therefore, for cleaning purposes, it is recommended that you use a waterproof mattress pad, like the Simmons Beautyrest Breathable Waterproof Mattress Pad to protect the cover from becoming soiled. That way, if an accident does arise, you can just remove the mattress pad to launder and then bedbug cover remains intact.

LAUNDERING INSTRUCTIONS:

Please wash and tumble dry the Encasement before using it the first time as this softens the product, improves the flexibility and eliminates any packaging odors.

Washing :

• Please do NOT use any bleach, bleach alternatives, non-chlorine bleach or any bleach by-products in the detergent, as this will destroy the polyurethane lining.
• The Encasement can be washed in hot water.
• Do NOT dry clean.

Drying :

• Dry together with some other bed linen or towels. The Encasement can be tumble dried on a medium heat for about 40 minutes (longer if needed - depending on your dryer)
• Careful drying will prevent blistering of the lining. If blisters do form from overheating of the dryer, please discontinue using the Encasement, as these blisters will split open and lead to the Encasement leaking.
