If you're looking to protect your student, camper or family member from bed bugs, dust mites, and allergens, look no further than the AllerZip® mattress protector. This Twin XL cover is perfect for dorm rooms as it comes in a variety of widths and fits an extra-long mattress. Not only does it protect your mattress from bed bugs, but it can also be used to treat a bed bug infestation. Solving a bed bug problem can be very tricky, but not with an AllerZip® Bed Encasement. Once a mattress has been infected, it is common to dispose of the entire mattress – but this doesn't have to be the case! These AllerZip® Bed Encasements will trap/prevent bed bugs using the Patented BugLock® and Secure Seal® System, saving you your mattress and your health. The encasement itself fits completely around your mattress, and zips shut to trap the pests inside. Once fully attached and zipped closed, the zipper attaches to a zipper hook to keep it in place to keep it from slowly opening over time.
The BedLock® seal has been certified by Entomology Laboratories, and is bed bug bite, entry, and escape proof meaning you can once again sleep soundly without fear of bed bug bites. While protecting you from bed bugs, this encasement also defends your mattress from unwanted moisture and allergens with Miracle Membrane®, a waterproof yet breathable barrier that lets your body's heat pass through it to allow for a more comfortable sleeping surface than other traditional vinyl or rubber encasements.
These bed encasements comes in 4 depths (9, 12, 15, and 18 inches), all fitting your Twin XL sized mattress. If your mattress is not exactly one of these depths, select the deeper encasement to ensure that it will fit your mattress. When in doubt, order a size larger than you think. If the encasement turns out to be a little loose, simply tuck the excess underneath the mattress.
Comments:
If you're using this cover to treat a bedbug infestation, it is not recommended that you remove it for at least one year, due to the risk of bed bugs escaping. For cleaning purposes, it is recommended that you use a waterproof mattress pad, such as the Simmons Beautyrest Breathable Mattress Pad that has a very soft cotton terry sleeping surface. The pad goes over the encasement, is easy to clean, and still provides great moisture protection.

LAUNDERING INSTRUCTIONS:
Please wash and tumble dry the Encasement before using it the first time as this softens the product, improves the flexibility and eliminates any packaging odors.
Washing :
- Please do NOT use any bleach, bleach alternatives, non-chlorine bleach or any bleach by-products in the detergent, as this will destroy the polyurethane lining.
- The Encasement can be washed in hot water.
- Do NOT dry clean.
Drying :
- Dry together with some other bed linen or towels. The Encasement can be tumble dried on a medium heat for about 40 minutes (longer if needed - depending on your dryer)
- Careful drying will prevent blistering of the lining. If blisters do form from overheating of the dryer, please discontinue using the Encasement, as these blisters will split open and lead to the Encasement leaking.
