Urine-Erase is an enzyme based product that is guaranteed to remove urine stains and odor, regardless of age (even 30 year-old set stains)! This unique product works on mattresses, upholstery, leather, carpets, drapes, floors (wood, cement, terrazzo), walls, kennels, etc. Manufactured since 1978, you won't find a better product that will eliminate urine odors and stains. In this two-step process, an enzyme solution is allowed to saturate the stain for 8 hours. Then a second solution is applied to react with the enzyme and remove the stain. See Additional Information to read more about how it works.Comments:
We've had many requests for recommendations on removing urine odors and stains from mattresses and bathroom floors. We researched many products and chose Urine-Erase due to its long history of success. A two step process is important when you want to eliminate - not just cover up odors.

5 stars, Does exactly what it says
By Indy24 from Texas on 2011-06-09
Pros: Easy to use, Effective
Cons: A bit pricey
I used this on my son's mattress. The product does what it says. Have to be a good judge of how much liquid you need. I overstated the amount required (part one) and ended up moving mattress to outside to dry during complete process. The sun did turn the spots slight yellow from heat but the mattress is odor free. The room smells great! The part one can be a bit messy and it does NOT completely dissolve in water. It wasn't a big deal.

Questions on Urine-Erase Enzyme Stain Remover
-
- 1 - I have the 16 oz bottle. Can the 1/2 the enzyme packet be used with 1 cup of water since it's a small area?
2 - How do you know the volume of urine? - Absolutely, you can split up the enzyme package and liquid solution. To do this you need to split the liquid solution into equal parts and then do the same with the enzyme packet. If you are unable to tell the volume of the urine, this is difficult in most cases, you want to be sure that you fully saturate the stained area during the treatment. Depending on the depth and age of the stain it may take multiple treatments to fully remove the stain.

How it works: Urine-Erase uses a two-step process. First, a dry enzyme powder is mixed fresh with water. This solution is poured onto the surface and breaks down urine so it will react with the bottle of solution (gentle peroxide) that is applied approximately 8 hours after the enzyme. Stains and odors disappear within hours after the second step. A reaction takes place to break down the urine into water and oxygen. Use of Urine-Erase is ideal where indoor air quality is of concern.
Better Than One-Step Systems: Bacteria feeding on urine cause odor. Many one step products will destroy or neutralize bacteria but bacteria will return to the urine and the problem reoccurs. Most products will treat only the odor - but not the stain. Urine-Erase attacks the urine in 2 steps and changes it into an evaporable gas of water and oxygen. Completely and permanently gone. (Note: physically damaged or bleached fabric cannot be repaired by any product.)
How Much to Use: You need to apply a volume of Urine-Erase in an amount equal to the urine. Simply pour on and allow the solution to follow the same exact path as the urine did originally. Always test any stain remover on an inconspicuous location first before using.
