Available in 3 gauge (standard) and 6 gauge (heavy duty) thicknesses, these durable plastic pillow covers also protect against bedbugs, dust mites and other allergens.

The patented Bugstop® Seal ensures that these waterproof pillow covers have been tested and Certified Bed Bug Proof. The extra-long, rust-proof zipper keeps your pillows safely encased at all times. vinyl zipper covers

I needed pillow covers that could keep my daughter's pillows dry due to her excess salivating during the night. I'd tried several pillow protectors that did not to this. I gave up and decided to go with vinyl even though I know they can be hot. I have found that the queen heavy weight work the best. The standard size not so much. I double up with the queens because I have found there has been a bit of sweating on the pillow where my daughter's head rests. I will say the heavy weight vinyl protectors work the best.

Keep the pillows dry, but crackle and don’t breathe.

So far, the protective vinyl covers seem to keep pillows dry, but they tend to retain body heat, causing the pillow not to breathe that well. They also tend to make crackling noises, and are a little large for our king-size pillows, creating the need for another pillowcase to make sure the pillow is covered at both ends.
