Bedding for Camps
If you're shopping for bedding for your entire camp or cabin group, you'll need bedding that is durable enough to last you through many uses over a long term period. Our Heavy Duty Vinyl Mattress Protectors protect from mildew, mold, dust mites, bedbugs, and urine. They are easy to clean and pre-treated with Ultra Fresh ® to retard the growth of bacteria. You can wash them with a light disinfectant between campers.
During off season storage as well as during regular use, mattresses are prone to mold, mildew and other allergen growth. Even plasticized camp and cot mattresses get cracks, allowing for allergen proliferation. Did you know that vinyl encasements can extend the life of a mattress up to 25-30%? Not only does the mattress look better, but it means that you’ll be purchasing replacement mattresses less frequently.
Another situation that camps and campers frequently encounter is bedwetting. About 5% of school aged children suffer from bedwetting, posing another problem for camps and counselors. Having an intact waterproof mattress protector is essential to protect your mattress and preserve the campers’ self-esteem.
Urine residue is best removed with an enzyme based cleaner, such as OdorZyme. It is easy to apply with a spray bottle and is available in the ½ gallon economy size for use by camps and institutions. By using the proper bedding and cleaning products, a potentially embarrassing situation can be alleviated for your campers.

Protecting Your Rental Properties
If you own or operate a rental property, you understand that renters don't always clean up after themselves. All aspects of your property are vulnerable to damage, including your mattresses. It's important that you protect your mattresses from spills, accidents, bedbugs, lice, bodily fluids and dust mites so it can be used for many years to come.
For rental properties, we recommend zippered covers because they provide the most protection. While vinyl covers are the most economical, they are not always the best option, especially if your property is near a beach. Vinyl covers can be warm to sleep on, but they do provide protection from bedbugs, spills, and accidents, and they are easily wiped clean.
For high end rental properties, a more comfortable solution is the waterproof premium covers. These covers are breathable and especially for warm or humid climates, they are much more comfortable. They offer the same protection, but with a comfortable urethane barrier. Because they have a terry loop cloth top, they must be removed and laundered to be cleaned. Don’t forget to cover your box springs (heavy duty vinyls are best for box springs) and pillows. Pillow covers also come in vinyl or premium with the same benefits for each.

Bedding for Your School or Dorm Room
Your students spend one-third of their time in their beds. Isn’t it important that they be provided with a clean, healthy sleep environment? The right protective bedding can solve problems that plague the dormitory environment and can differentiate your school from other schools.
Our vinyl encasements can extend the life of your mattresses by 25-30%. Our encasements come in 3 or 6 gauge, but 6 gauge is recommended for schools because of its durability. In addition to the zippered encasements, we offer skirted vinyl covers which protect the top and sides of the mattress but do not encase it to protect against bedbugs, dust mites, mold or mildew. Fitted (or skirted) vinyl covers are our least expensive option and are easiest to place and replace.
Our Twin XL Bed Covers are especially popular among schools and dormitories. You can choose from vinyl or premium encasements or waterproof mattress pads.
Options for Hotels and Inns
If you own or operate a hotel, bed and breakfast or inn, you know it's important to find durable, long-lasting bedding that will protect your mattress while providing comfort for your guests.
If economy is more important than comfort, vinyl mattress protection is best. They come in both fitted and zippered. The fitted style is easy to remove and replace and is our most economical option. The zippered vinyl covers protect your mattress (and your guests) from accidents, bodily fluid, bedbugs, dust mites, mold, mildew and stains. Zippered covers take more time to put on, but once they are in place they can be washed and disinfected while on the mattress.
Mattress pads with a vinyl barrier are also available. They come in a 3 layer basic style and a 4 layer style with a cotton sateen finish. All our mattress pads are waterproof and provide some allergy protection, although for true allergy relief, you should use an encasement.
For a longer lasting solution, consider our premium mattress covers. Our premium fitted cover is thin and lightweight and is a comfortable, breathable alternative to vinyl covers. Most people don’t even notice it is there. Premium covers are machine washable and dryable, allowing you to launder them between guests. We also offer premium pillow covers and duvet covers so all your bedding is protected.
Another popular product is the ultra-plush, Breathable Beautyrest Mattress Pad, which combines a breathable urethane barrier with the comfort of a 4 layer mattress pad. This product works great for preventing stains and protecting the mattress from bodily fluids and spills.
Best Bedding for Healthcare and Rehabilitation Facilities
Healthcare facilities are in a unique position requiring protection of both their clients and their bedding. It’s important that you provide a clean and healthy sleep environment for your clients while preventing contamination with bodily secretions, infestations and allergens. The right protective bedding can do all of these things.
Because of high turnover, often with a transient population, many treatment facilities have a few goals in mind when selecting the right bedding. These include:
Zippered vinyl mattress encasements are inexpensive, effective and durable. They protect the mattress on all four sides from dust mites, bedbugs and fluids. These are 100% waterproof, repelling any type of fluid, which can then be wiped away. Easily cleaned between users with a disinfectant, they come in a variety of gauges (thicknesses) and sizes.
The heavy duty 8 gauge vinyl is available in a clear white or forest green opaque color and is only available for cot size vinyls. Three and six gauge vinyl is less durable, but also more economical, while providing the protection that you need. In addition to the zippered vinyl encasements, we carry skirted vinyl covers that protect 3 sides and are easily removed and replaced. These sell for only a few dollars each and are the least expensive option. These encasements and covers come in a full line of sizes, from twin to king, and in a variety of depths.
Bedbug infestations in the US are the highest they have been in the last 50 years. Prudent treatment facilities ward off this potential problem before it starts. By having the mattress totally encased from the beginning, bedbugs aren’t able infest in the mattress. Allergens, especially dust mites, are problematic for clients with a history of asthma and allergies. An uncovered mattress and pillow are breeding grounds for dust mites and could potentially affect the health of your clients. Our vinyl or polyurethane mattress encasements prevent the proliferation of dust mites.
The polyurethane encasement is breathable, with micro pores, which prevent the dust mites from getting through to the surface. A breathable cover does allow for the dissipation of body heat so it is a more comfortable sleeping surface than vinyl. Breathable, polyurethane pillow covers allow for restful sleep without the crunchy feeling of a vinyl cover. Polyurethane covers can be machine washed and dried.
If your facility has any incontinent populations, you may also want to consider investing in waterproof underlay pads. These washable and reusable pads are great for absorbing urine before it even has a chance to reach the bed. They are easily replaceable and work great for repositioning patients. These pads are available with or without tuck-in sides, which secures the pad in place.
